Yank out a book and read over pages 34 and 35 and discuss (on your paper) how the enlightenment inspired colonists?
Open a book to page 23 and read the historical spotlight. What was the House of Burgesses? What is a burgess? What powers did it have? What other governing bodies were like it in the colonies?
•Read pages 24-28. Compare AND contrast the Puritans to the Quakers.
